How voice, texting, and data are meant to be used on a Jivetel Residential Mobile line - and the ordinary safeguards that keep the network working well for every family on it.
Jivetel Residential Mobile ("the Service") is built for individuals and families, calling and texting from a phone they carry themselves. It's intended for personal, residential use - live, human-initiated calls and texts on a single standard smartphone or basic phone per line.
This service is not intended for, and may not be used for:
If any of that describes what you're looking for, Jivetel Mobile for Business is built for exactly that, with the reporting, seats, and integrations a business needs. Everything below describes personal, residential use only.
This policy works alongside Jivetel's general Terms of Service. For anything specific to your Residential Mobile line - voice, texting, and data use - this Acceptable Use Policy is the one that applies.
Unlimited talk on the Service is provided for live, two-way conversation between people. To keep call quality high and costs low for everyone on the network, the following are not permitted:
Texting on your line works the same way it does on any phone - messages you type and send to your own contacts, and the ones they send back. That everyday texting is not a messaging campaign and isn't something Jivetel monitors message-by-message; it's simply part of your line's voice-and-text service.
To protect the network for every subscriber, the following are not permitted:
Separately, Jivetel itself may text you about your own account - for example, to confirm activation, a number port, a payment, or a support request. That's a small, distinct program, and here's exactly how it works:
You're enrolled only after you affirmatively opt in - by checking the consent box during sign-up or SIM activation at resi.jivetel.com, by verbally consenting during a phone or in-person sign-up, or by activating a SIM after being shown these terms. Consent is never a condition of purchasing service, and your number is never sold. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Account texts are tied to something you did - activating, porting a number, paying a bill, or reaching out to support. Frequency varies with your account activity; Jivetel doesn't send recurring marketing texts unless you've separately opted in to that.
Reply STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT at any time to opt out; you'll get one confirmation message and nothing further. Opting out doesn't disconnect your line or affect your own texting and calling. Reply HELP, call (855) 444-JIVE (5483), or email [email protected] for support.
This program is intended to work across all major U.S. wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Data plans are intended for standard use on a mobile device - browsing, email, maps, streaming, and everyday apps. The following are not permitted:
Information collected to service your account - including your phone number and consent status - is never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Full details are in our Privacy Policy. General service terms are in our Terms of Service.
Jivetel may suspend or terminate a line that violates this policy, to protect network quality and keep every subscriber's service reliable. We'll always try to reach you first if we notice unusual activity on your line.
We may update this policy from time to time; the current version is always posted here. Continued use of your line after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
