Phones that work with Jivetel Residential Mobile
Three things have to be true about your phone, and then you're on the service.
Unlocked
A carrier-locked phone won't work. Call the carrier it's locked to and ask them to unlock it - most will, free of charge.
VoLTE
Voice over LTE must be supported. Every phone listed below already supports it.
eSIM or Physical SIM
Whichever your phone supports. eSIM activates by scanning a code - no card to ship, no store visit. A physical SIM works too.
Apple iPhone
iPhone XR or later. iPhone 12 and up recommended.
iOS 15.4 or later. iOS 17.1 and up recommended.
US and global iPhone models. eSIM supported.
Google Pixel
Pixel 7 and later.
Android 13 with the March 2023 update or later.
eSIM supported. Pixel 7a is not recommended for international travel.
Samsung Galaxy
Android 14, 15, 16 and 17, US models.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a real phone number?
Yes. Your Jivetel line is a genuine 10-digit U.S. phone number, capable of standard voice calls and texting - the same as any wireless number.
Can I keep my current number?
In most cases, yes. We can port your existing cell or landline number over to your new Jivetel SIM, or set you up with a brand-new number if you'd prefer to start fresh.
Do I need to install an app to call or text?
No. Calling and texting happen right in the dialer and messaging apps already built into your phone. Wi-Fi calling is available as a built-in backup when you're out of cell range - it's never required for day-to-day use.
What if my phone isn't on the supported list?
A phone that isn't listed may still work, but it isn't guaranteed and isn't eligible for support. Read the model number under Settings → About and give us a call - we'll check it for you at no charge.
Will I still get texts from family and friends who aren't on Jivetel?
Yes. Texting works between any two mobile numbers regardless of carrier, exactly like it does today.
How do I stop receiving texts from Jivetel?
Reply STOP to any message from Jivetel at any time to opt out immediately, or reply HELP for assistance. See our Acceptable Use Policy for full details.
